About Seth’s Basketball Outreach
As my parents immigrated from Cebu, Philippines, we visit the Philippines almost every year. This inspired me in my freshman year of high school (2022), to start this passion project. I used the gift of basketball, which I have played for majority of my life, and charity in order to connect back to my roots and help through clinics and fundraising.. With family connections, we target to help the Don Bosco community centers that host seminaries for priests as well as kids ranging from 9-17. This is the ultimate goal of the organization to help to give back to the community of the Philippines and help the city of Cebu.
Clinics
In these clinics, sports equipment for the centers are bought through fundraising and support. We hold the 2-3 hour clinics with a form of training and scrimmage. We aim to ensure a good time and start and end each clinic with prayer. Each person attending receives food and a sports ball catering to each and every attendant.
